I’m 40 years old as of today, February 19, 2025. My name was given to me by my mother, whose friend’s sister was named Kara. Pretty cool story, years later while vacationing in Destin, Florida the condo we were staying at as a family had a guest book and there she was! The woman I was named after had stayed in the very condo I sat. I love the name I was given by my mother, but the new name I am given in heaven because I am a born-again believer in Jesus is the most important name I will ever have or given to me.

I am a born-again child of God. Jesus is Lord and as of April 2018 I am a full on, surrendered follower of Jesus. I gave my heart to Jesus and was baptized in my Baptist church when I was around age ten. However, I fell away like many before me but praise God, I found myself praying and asking for his mercy and he gave me just that!

I started writing in my journals when I was in my twenties, maybe late teens. Before that it was just a dream and desire to write and tell stories. Now it is a calling I find myself enjoying daily. I write every day in the pages of my journals what God is doing in my life and in the life of those around me. I write what I am learning, prayers, sketches, appointment reminders and much more. It has become more than a to do, it is a relationship with Jesus written down for others to see, tell, and know.

My goal is to honor the Lord with every aspect of my life. He has created me to be an artist, among other gifts. Being creative, telling gospel stories and bringing others close to Jesus is my calling and to love others well from the outpouring of the Father’s love to me.

I have been saved by the blood of Jesus and the Kara Nicole Journal is a taste and come see journey I invite you all to be a part of.
